Numbers 1 to 9 at a Glance: Ruling Planets and Archetypes

In numerology, each number from 1 to 9 is ruled by a planet and carries its own strengths and cautions. This guide puts all nine side by side.

Level: BeginnerReading time: About 5 minutes

Introduction

Every number from 1 to 9 has a ruling planet. The planet gives the number its character, a little like a family name that passes down a temperament.

Each number also has an archetype, a short picture such as "the King" or "the Judge" that makes the character easy to remember. And every number has two sides: its strengths, and a shadow to watch out for.

The table below shows all of this at a glance. Use it as a quick first look, then go deeper in the course.

How to read the table

Read each row from left to right: the number, its planet, its archetype, then what it does well and what to watch.

The strengths and the shadow of a number are two sides of the same coin. For example, the willpower of the 1 can turn into stubbornness, and the care of the 6 can turn into overspending. A shadow is not a flaw. It is a reminder of where that number needs balance.

No number is better or worse than another. Each one simply has a different job.
